Statement of Faith
What we believe
I believe God is the sole creator and maintainer of all that is and ever will be. God is love and seeks to interact with each person. The Spirit of God guides each person who seeks God. Every person is equal in the eyes of God and is uniquely gifted to serve God and others. In this way, our very lives are an act of spiritual worship of the Divine Creator. I believe Jesus Christ walked this earth as the bodily incarnation of God and continues to this day, in resurrected form, to teach and guide each person who seeks the Lord. I believe that a divine spark, or light, is present in each person and, as he or she responds to that spark, the person is molded, over time, into a Christ-likeness of peace and simplicity. I believe the Christian Bible to be a testimony of the story of God’s interactions with creation and a glimpse of the nature of God, Spirit and Christ and how we may be reconciled with our Creator.
